Congratulations Claire Harrison for being the winner of this months Value Champion Award for Developing Strong Relationships!

  • Claire has been working hard with the NHS paediatric physiotherapists to develop strong links and has now developed a joint clinic session to help take an MDT approach. Claire has also developed strong links with universities hospitals of Leicester and we are planning to complete some hands on training with them so they have a better understanding of what we can provide with our service. Claire constantly is looking for external companies to link with and share training with the rest of the team. Claire also works well across the Leicester site with wheelchairs, O and P to make sure we are as efficient as possible within the 3 services. Claire always makes me feel like a valued member of the team even when staffing levels are very low and always fights for the best interest of her team members and the rest of the staff working from Leicester.”

Well done Amar Uddin for Putting The Patient First!

  • Helpful with a complex ward patient, went above and beyond, assuring patient safety clinically. Report received from the NHS which stated: “Complex spinal fracture patient with ongoing problems with her brace / collar. Spinal fracture unstable. Orthotist attended patient despite her not being listed earlier for review and despite an extremely busy caseload, travelling from another site to assure that the patient had a review of her collar and the correct, well fitted collar for the weekend. This assured patients safety clinically and also assured patient and staff confidence to handle patient over the weekend while awaiting ongoing spinal review.”
